It started with one image of a tiny character riding a horse through majestic forest with ruins, partly inspired by the work of Killian Eng. 

Years later, I revisited this character on the back of my business card. This time, the forest changed to a closer, moody, cluster of trees on a misty hillside and the ranger gained some more equipment. Since it was for my card, I played with the idea of a "freelancer" so I kept the lance, but gave the ranger some drawing tools. 

It was an interesting opportunity to look back on my older work and create a new version that reflects my currrent artistic stylings. Perhaps we will meet the ranger again.
